Bead Head Grizzly King
My variation of a classic pattern. Works great on panfish.
The added weight helps get it down to the fish in the warmer summer months.
Materials
Hook Size 10
1/8 Black Bead
Utc 70 Thread
Tail red feather fibers
Dark Green Floss body
Meduim oval tinsel rib
Mallard Flank wing
Grizzly Hackle fiber Throat
Olive dubbing collar
1. Place bead on hook and start thread to the back.
2. Measure tail as long as body.
3. Tie in the hackle fiber tail.
3. Tie in whole length of body.
4. Tie on the oval tinsel.
5. Tie on the floss.
6. Work thread back to the front.
7. Wrap the floss up to bead.
8. Wrap the rib.
9. Tie on the grizzly throat.
10. Tie on the wing.
11. Make firm tight wraps.
12. Cover thread with a little dubbing collar.
13. Whip finish and Enjoy.
