My Hare's Ear
Nymph
 
Very easy and useful version of the original.
Materials
Standard wet hook sz 10-14
UTC 70 Olive thread
1/8 brass bead
Hare's ear fur for tail
Pear tinsel for rib
Hare tron dubbing for body light and a dark
Peacock Herl for wingcase
 
 
 
 
1. Place bead on hook and secure in vise.
2. Work thread to bend.
3. Tie on the tail.
4. Tie on the rib.
5. Make a dubbing noodle of the lighter dubbing.
Dub 2/3 of the shank.
6. Wrap the rib up to the front 4-5 turns.
7. Tie on the herls.
8. Dub the rest with the darker color.
9. Fold over herls and tie down. Whip Finish.
10. Enjoy.
