This pattern has been amazing this year. Caught tons of pan fish Bluegills, Crappie and even Yellow Perch. Very simple to tie and no reason not to carry 2 or 3.
Material
Hook size 8-12
Thread UTC 70 black
.020 lead wire
Dubbing Black Rabbit or squirrel
Green and Black small flashabou
1. Spiral wrap lead wire 8 or so turns.
2. Start thread and wrap to the back.
3. Using a dubbing needle split the thread.
4. Fill the split with about an 1 1\2" of dubbing.
5. Wrap forward to the eye
6. Use some Velcro and tease out the fibers,.
7. Tie in the flashabou on top and sides of the head.
8. trim a little longer than the body.
9. Make a small dubbing head to hold the flash down a bit.
10. Whip finish and go fish.
